Oh dear. Indeed. Quite. I've found another website full of lovely things that I want. It's called Ohh Deer, and it's a platform for illustrators to sell their works in lots of different ways. I'm particularly lusting after their sweatshirts, their cushions, and their phone cases.

It strikes me as a very blog-friendly brand... Possibly because it's full of animals, namely dogs, cats, and foxes, and - awful to stereotype though it is - don't we all fall into the categories of crazy dog/cat/fox ladies?

These are the three items I've been arguing about most with my bank account.

Jamie Mitchell Illustration Sweatshirt - £35

Sandra Dieckmann Phone Case - £25

Jamie Mitchell Cushion - £35

Want, want, want please. I may ask my lovely boyfriend to buy me these for Valentine's Day!

Just kidding. Clearly I am being ironic because my love life is still a categorical train wreck and I am apparently incapable of making it past the third date with anyone (more on that to follow). On the upside, I have no one to give me those disgusted looks that I've bought yet another cushion (is anyone else at the stage where their beds are more cushion than anything else?!)

I guess I'll just have to buy them myself.

I'm also seriously considering joining their T Shirt Club. £15 a month for a brand spanking new tee? Sounds pretty good to me!

If you would like to send Ohh Deer a love letter or anything, here are the links to their Twitter and Facebook

The best thing about having a dog is that I have no need for an alarm clock. Whenever anything worth getting out of bed for happens, you can bet your last buck that Baloo will wake me up. Although we've had to have a few serious chats, with me trying to explain to him that the postman delivering my credit card bills, or that pesky white cat sitting on the window sill again, do not qualify as a reason to rouse me from my slumber, he's usually on the ball.

I've been spending more time out of London recently, because my Granny isn't very well so I've been staying with her to help out. Yesterday, I was woken with more enthusiasm than usual. More licks, more nose-nudges, and even a few barks.

Clearly, something serious was going on.

As soon as I opened the curtains, I immediately sussed out the source of Baloo's excitement.

Snow. But not the nasty, grey, thin, slippery snow that London infrequently bestows on us. This was real, sparkling, powdery blankets of snow, turning the sleepy Berkshire village where I can now call myself a part-time resident into a veritable winter wonderland.

Baloo was getting impatient, so after a quick breakfast (porridge for me, Chappie for him), I put on as many layers as is humanly possible without sacrificing use of my limbs, threw a onesie on top, wrapped up in a vintage parka*, and popped on my trusty All Saint's wellies.

After a quick browse round the 3 shops in my village, it became apparent that none of them had a sledge. Clearly ridiculous, but lucky I'm a practical kinda gal, so I snuck back home and grabbed a big kitchen tray before galavanting off to the woods with the dog.

He bloody loves snow. I'll never really get over how funny I find the look of confusion on his face when chasing snowballs ("But where do they go?"), and he even had a go at sledging traying with me. I don't know how much he enjoyed that, to be honest, but I had a good time.

He also proved a willing model as I got a little snap happy with my LC-A+ (but you'll obviously have to wait for a while to see any results).

I'd been craving sunshine recently, but a healthy dose of frolicking with the dog soon set me straight. After all, making sun-people and sun-dogs = much harder than the snow-boyfriend I made (with a snow-bitch for Baloo).

When we were all snowed out, we ambled home, and had tea and crumpets in front of the fire, and finished the last of 2012's homemade bramble jam.

To be honest, today was a bit of a copy and paste of yesterday, apart from I'd demolished all the crumpets in the house, so moved on to scones. I am officially snowed in for the foreseeable future, so I'm planning a mammoth blog reading-commenting session tomorrow, and will then be scouring the internet for new sources of entertainment. If you have anything of note, hit me up in the comments section.

Stay warm, find a person or animal to snuggle up with, and put on some Audrey Hepburn movies.

Have a happy weekend!

* Vintage = Stolen from my Granny's wardrobe, but I think it may be a keeper!

Lord have mercy on my soul bank balance, you have got to stop doing this to me, Minkpink. These three beauties are giving me heart palpatations. But... You know... The good kind.

I feel a sin of the shopping variety coming on. But I can't decide which one to go for...

... What do you think?

Chambray Dress
Magic Eyes Dress
Teenage Witch Dress

Please help me choose one! But only one, otherwise I won't be able to afford dog food and Baloo will get really, really cross with me...

I hope that your weekends were magical...

A belated Happy New Year to you all, Creatures.

How were your New Year's Celebrations? I welcomed in 2013 bopping away to 80s pop, dressed as the cookie monster. Classy.

Anyway, New Year, new start, and I have vowed this January to blog more vigilantly, date fewer mad people, and wear more excellent hats.

This one is totally ace. It's super warm and lovely and furry, and is excellent for  hiding my face when I'm experiencing one of those "stop eating so many burgers and not getting any exercise and drinking too much wine" facial protests (i.e. today). It's vintage and on a 'long term loan' - I pinched it - from my friend J, who has the most comprehensive hat collection you could wish for.

The shirt's another vintage piece - my Granny bought it in the 50s in Hong Kong. Somehow, it managed to find its way into my wardrobe, and I am certainly not complaining.

I got the bag for my birthday two years ago, and it's perfect for my "throw everything in" attitude towards my handbags - I will never do one of those "what's in my handbag" posts, I would probably die of shame when you discovered how many old receipts I have.

The skirt and boots were Christmas pressies. The skirt is universally flattering, comfy, and goes with pretty much everything. I do love me some box pleats. The boots are wonderful - I get really excited when I lace them up and go out the door, like they're going to take me on a little adventure.

Hat - Vintage; Shirt - Vintage; Bag - Urban Outfitters; Skirt - River Island; Boots - Russell & Bromley

What are your New Year's Resolutions, or plans for 2013? And more importantly... How was your NYE?

Wishing you lots of love, luck, health and happiness, all year long!
