EXCUSES, EXCUSES

Thursday, 12 April 2012

Hey y'all.

It's me, back, and a little bashful about how neglectful a blogger I've been so far this month. I've been at home, catching up with family and friends, and my laptop has, for the most part, been sitting on a shelf, still wearing it's cover. As odd as it sounds, I've genuinely missed you lot, I love reading your blogs and receiving your emails, tweets and comments, so thank you for sticking with me and I promise to start pulling my finger out once again.

Here are some excuses for my recent absence from the blogosphere. I've been spending my days watching F.R.I.E.N.D.S and Sex and the City, gaming with my brothers, playing Draw Something, charity shopping, baking, walking my pup,  and indulging in my favourite home pastime - drinking tea, eating chocolates, and re-reading old Vogue magazines (I have every issue since May 2005 in my room).

My evenings have been spent over drinks with friends, dancing in my mouse ears, and getting mega-competitive with my brothers at the local bowling alley. Good times.

Okay, fine, there's one more thing. These two recent acquisitions have totally taken over my existence.

Serious regression - it's like my ninth birthday all over again.
What can I say? I've gotta catch'em all.

How were your Easters? Lots of chocolate and time with your families?

Mona.

  1. I got completely addicted to Pokemon Yellow last summer as I still have my old Gameboy. I'm still convinced hands-down the Pokemon games are the BEST games ever! SO addictive!

  3. Glad you had a good time. Dancing in your mouse ears sounds particularly fun. You haven't been away that long?

I spent Easter weekend cooking dinner for friends. Was lots of fun. The next couple of days I did a lot of sleeping.

    1. Sounds like a perfect weekend (although cooking for friends with me usually results in minor burns and everyone being very hungry, but I'm sure you're much more adept in the kitchen than me!)

  4. Yay for SATC and Vogue. I recently discovered my bf's old gameboy and played on Mario...let me tell you, it was difficult! I don't remember it being that hard! I didn't even pass a level, and you only get 3 lives each time.

I used to (er, still) love the Pokemon theme tune xx

  8. Its totally OK to not blog for awhile, I have found. Especially when you get to hang out with brothers. I have 4 of them and don't spend nearly enough time with them ... so, enjoy it while you can :D

    1. Goodness, I thought I had my hands full with three brothers! You're totally right though, the older one has a job and the younger ones are at boarding school so family time is very precious!

  9. Happy to see you posting again :) I've been absent for a while as well, just had too much stuff going on to make it to the online world!
I love the blue version. Not sure if I like it better than the gold edition, but it's almost equal love :P

  10. That is some pretty impressive Drawing of a Something. Mine are mostly pretty dreadful but I'm kind of addicted :) And there is no shame in also being addicted to Pokemon, at least not for me. I had it downloaded onto my laptop for a while but it started to take over my life so I had to delete it :( Easter's definitely a time for taking it easy and just hanging out, don't apologise for it!

    1. Haha thank you! I've gotten mega-competitive, it's turned into an amateur art competition! I'm glad that people are being so accepting of my Pokemon habit, at least on here (I still got some pretty weird looks on the train!).
